How it works

From first click to first dance.

A few short questions, two musicians who fit, and one clear plan for the boring bit. Here's the whole thing, fine print included.

Part one · the questions

Tell us about the day.

  1. Step 1: When and where

Your date and the area you’re celebrating in. That tells us who’s actually free, and who can reach you without a three-hour drive before the canapés. No venue name needed, just the area. Your day needs to be at least two weeks away.

  2. Step 2: Choose your package

Canapés and dinner, your first dance and the party, or the whole night from start to finish. All three come with your own sound tech and all the gear.

    • Cocktails + Dinner

      $3,000 inc GST

Live music from canapés through dinner, with your own sound tech and speech mics.

    • The Party

      $2,800 inc GST

Your first dance played live, then dance-floor sets after dinner.

    • The Whole Night

$5,200 inc GST · Most loved

Everything in both, with one musician from canapés to the last dance.

Corporate or private event? You’ll choose between three and four hours of live music instead.

  3. Step 3: The fun one

Two quick this-or-that rounds. No wrong answers, and no need to know a single song title. Just go with your gut.

    • Industrial or Relaxed or Elegant

Raw edges, easy and unplugged, or polished and joyful. What does your wedding feel like?

    • Golden Hour or After Dark

Sun-warmed and easy, or candlelit and moody.

  4. Step 4: Where to send your two

Your names and an email, so your matches have somewhere to land. A phone number too, if you like.

Part two · your two matches

Always two. Never a catalogue.

We show you exactly two musicians: both free on your date, both able to reach your area, both a good fit for the sound you described. Each comes with a profile, sample recordings and their price for your package, sound tech and gear included.

Scrolling through two hundred profiles at midnight is nobody’s idea of wedding planning. Two good options is a decision. Two hundred is homework.

If neither feels right, you can ask to see two others. We’d rather you love your musician than settle.

Part three · the boring bit

Lock it in with a retainer.

Money is the boring bit, so here it is plainly, all in one place. You’ll see the same summary again before you pay, and in your agreement.

First, though, one personal touch: once you’ve picked your musician, we’ll ask about the song you’d love for your first dance, or the one that must never be played. It’s optional, and your musician sees it before they’ve even said hello.

A retainer today
A retainer that locks the date for your musician, your sound tech and the gear. It comes off your total, and it isn’t refundable, because from that moment they turn other couples away. Sign the agreement online and the date is yours.
A heads-up, 21 days before
We’ll email you the balance amount and the date it’s charged, so nothing arrives as a surprise.
The balance, 14 days before
The rest is charged automatically to the card you used for the retainer. No invoices to chase in wedding week.
Your card, kept safely
Your card is saved securely with Stripe. We never see or store the number. If a charge doesn’t go through, we’ll let you know and sort it out together.
