Artist care
Looked-after musicians play beautifully.
Paid well above standard wedding rates.
Wedding musicians are often asked to do a lot for not very much: play, run their own sound, load in twice and skip dinner. We pay our artists well above the going rate, and every booking includes a sound tech so they can focus on the music.
It’s why the musicians we work with want to keep working with us, and why we can be choosy about who we put in front of you.
The hospitality rider
A short list for your venue.
A hot meal
For the artist and the sound tech, ideally the same meal your guests are having, at a time that suits the run-of-show.
Something to drink
Water and soft drinks throughout, and a drink at the end of the night if they'd like one.
A quiet space between sets
Somewhere out of the way to sit, eat and reset. A spare room or a corner of the kitchen is plenty.
Parking close to setup
A park or a loading zone near where they're playing. Speakers and stands don't love a long walk.
Power at each setup point
A safe power outlet where they play for canapés and again by the dance floor. No power out there? We bring our own, quietly.
The final run-of-show, a week before
Times, places and any last-minute changes, so everyone arrives knowing exactly how the day unfolds.
Why it matters to you two
A fed, rested musician plays the last dance-floor set with the same warmth as the first song over canapés. A parked-close, powered-up setup means music starts on time and follows you in to dinner without a gap. And a run-of-show a week out means nobody’s guessing when the speeches start or when to call you up for your first dance.
Why it matters to musicians
Because it’s a long day of skilled work, and being treated like a guest rather than a jukebox makes it a good one. Fair pay and a hot meal sound simple. Across a whole season, they’re the reason great artists stay in the job.
